This book is an exploration of TypeScript, which is a superset of JavaScript. The first part of the book explains to you what TypeScript is and what it is used for. You will also learn how it is related to JavaScript. The book also guides you on how to install TypeScript on Windows and on other platforms. Type annotations, which are very good in defining how the program is indented, are discussed, and thus, you will learn how to work with them. Interfaces, which are good and compatible with most objects, are discussed in detail. Understanding the scope of objects such as “this” is very difficult. This book examines arrow functions which are a good mechanism to help you understand the scope of this keyword. Expressions are also used widely in TypeScript, and these have been explored in detail. Classes which are very important in object-oriented programming and for creation of large apps are also covered, along with features such as inheritance which are associated with classes; Iterators have also been explored in detail. The “for…of” loop is widely used in TypeScript. This is discussed in this book, along with how to implement it. The spread operator, which is used for the purpose of spreading the elements of an array, is also examined. Wow, not a good effort by the author. It's small, super small. It weighs in at about 84 pages; that wouldn't be bad if it was chock full of content, but this one isn't. He used a really large font and huge spacing between the paragraphs to stretch out the book into more pages. If I had to guess, this whole book is about 15-20 pages full size, basically an article, not a book. Code isn't formatted with a monospace font, so it's not clean and readable. Examples are short, with little actual explanationIt's self-published, through Amazon subsidiary CreateSpace, so it's home-grown and not professionally made. It doesn't even seem like an editor even took a pass at this since it's so poorly written. I'm sorry I wasted my money on this one. Don't waste your time. There's a LeanPub book on TypeScript you can get for less money and about 4 times the material.

Book is not like ready to publish. There are gaps in the book.
Its hard to find easy to read material on typescript. I discovered angular 2 a month ago and this is the first book that has been easy to understand. Im getting ready to read the second book and look forward to the third book. Thankyou for this easy to understand information.
Good and informative.
EXTREMELY poorly written. The code examples are full of typos. The prose is not edited by someone who understands English. The book is a joke... Don't buy this sham of a book...
